The Busco boys basketball team did not start February off the way they had intended. Instead of extending their winning record, the boys fell to the Lakeland Lakers 73-50 and saw their record drop to 7-7 and the Churubusco Lady Eagles lost a close game to Lakeland’s Lady Lakers on Friday.

Marlin Stutzman, Don Bates Jr., former Congressman John Hostettler and Tea Party revolutionary Richard Behney to take the Republican nomination for the right to challenge Sen. Bayh.

Whitley County is applying for a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) from the Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA) for various capital projects. As a requirement of the application process, the community must provide combined family income information for the households within the proposed service area, or those who will directly benefit from the use of grant funds.
