The Busco boys basketball team did not start February off the way they had intended. Instead of extending their winning record, the boys fell to the Lakeland Lakers 73-50 and saw their record drop to 7-7 and the Churubusco Lady Eagles lost a close game to Lakeland’s Lady Lakers on Friday.

Saturday was the Carroll regional. Only a wrestling tournament at Carroll could combine Mossy Oak pajama bottoms with catered fettuccini from Casa’s.

In the next two weeks, Coats will use his network to attain the 4,500 signatures needed for certification by Feb. 19. If he does, Coats will almost certainly edge out State Sen.
