Preliminary plans include fireworks and a continuation and expansion of popular happenings - both the traditional events and the new events.

As the resigning President of Turtle Days I would like to personally thank all of you who have supported me over the last several years. Without the support of my family and friends and this community Turtle Days would not have grown as it has. A BIG THANK YOU to our area businesses who have been awesome and really pulled through with not only financial support but also with those extra things whenever they were asked. Some just did things out of the goodness of their hearts, like Turtle Town Quick Lube/Auto Electric offering free water on Sat. of Turtle Days the last couple of years. Shroyer’s for always having all of those last minuet things that are always needed. Our area police dept. for keeping our town safe and helping out with the parade. The businesses that put out welcome Turtle Days on their marquees. The Busco library for offering book sales and music to bring more people into town. The Smith Green Community Schools for always graciously letting us use their lot for the annual car show. A SPECIAL THANK YOU to Kennie, Leroy and Diane Blessing for always being there when I had a million questions when I started the car show, and Shane Christlieb for always being there to provide the tunes. A SPECIAL HUGE THANK YOU for all of those people who came to the events and midway. I GREAT BIG THANK YOU to my kids for always helping out with whatever I asked them to do to help me get ready for Turtle Days, and a extra thank you to my oldest Jessie for building our web sit http://www.turtledays.com without her the web site would not exist. My mom deserves a BIG THANK YOU for helping with turtle days even before she was involved and this year for spending a insane amount of time on the beautiful brochure she put out. Also a COLOSSAL THANK YOU to James for keeping me sane this year without him there surly would have been a nervous break down LOL! This is just to name a few if I didn’t mention you its not that I forgot you or do not appreciate your involvement its just I could go on and on with the community support that I have received since I have been involved with Turtle Days. I have met some wonderful people in our community.
I have resigned to move on with other endeavors and to provide some much-needed support to my family. Please continue to support Turtle Days to help it grow and continue next year it’s a BIG year 60 years to be exact. Turtle Days is the oldest festival in Indiana that is something to be proud of! Help to make it the best year yet! Remember Turtle Days helps to support the Churubusco Town Park, so getting involved not only keeps Turtle Days going it also helps to maintain and improve our park.
