HANDS announces raffle winners

The winners of the HANDS Foundation Endowment Enhancement Raffle this year are Jennifer Bodnor; $400; Bonnie Kronmiller; $250 and Sara St. Clair; $150.
Winners received gift cards to be used either at Glenbrook Square or Jefferson Pointe shopping malls.

Recognizing our differences: Leadership class focuses on diversity

Leadership Whitley County (LWC) traveled to C & A Tool in Churubusco for its November session,  focusing on diversity. Sponsors for the program day were Three Rivers Federal Credit Union and C & A Tool.

Masons host 20th annual community Thanksgiving dinner

Eagles basketball starts with scrimmage in Berne

Hundreds tour homes, church on annual Christmas Walk

Five homes and one church were the object of curiosity - not to mention lots of oohs and ahhs - Saturday and Sunday as hundreds of visitors toured the sites in the 9th Annual Friends of the Library Christmas Walk.
The Christmas walk is the Churubusco Public Library’s biggest fundraiser.

Thomas L. Bare, 56, a resident of Warsaw and formerly of Noble County near Merriam, died at 2 p. m. on Friday, November 21, 2008 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne.  He had been a patient there since last Saturday after suffering an apparent heart attack at his residence.

Timothy Wayne Jefferies

Timothy Wayne Jefferies, 49, a resident of Churubusco, died Tuesday evening, November 18, 2008 at his home after suffering an apparent heart attack.
Mr. Jefferies served for three years in the U. S. Marine Corps, and was formerly employed by Bosch Automotive Motor Systems in Albion.
