The girls compete today, Tuesday, May 26, at Huntington North High School. The boys will compete Thursday at the Wayne Regional in Fort Wayne.

“It’s sad at the end of the season to let half of the team go,” Dock said, “but we have performed very well. I am very pleased.”

The boys team finished in last place at the sectional in 2008, Dock said, but improved to sixth place this year. “There has been major improvement since last year,” he said.

Dock expressed disappointment that he lost one of his best high jumpers, Kyle Monk, due to a pulled ham string. “On the other hand,” Dock said. “Even the guys who did not get out (of the sectional) were  running their best and throwing their best.”
