Commemorative Quilt to be Raffled at Festival – on Display Now at Star/Jones Agency

CHURUBUSCO – The Churubusco Quilt Club and the Turtle Days Festival Association are selling raffle tickets for a 60th anniversary commemorative quilt that will be given away during the Turtle Days Festival, June 17-20.

The winner will be announced in the entertainment tent in the Churubusco Community Park after the parade Saturday, June 20. The winner need not be present to win.

The quilt is hand-pieced in a multi-colored, snowball 9-patch design.On the back is a pieced and quilted turtle applique which is signed and dated.

Currently, the quilt is on display in the front window of Star/Jones Insurance agency, 111 N. Main St., Churubusco. Tickets are $1 each and can be purchased from any quilt club member, Turtle Days Festival Committee member or at the Star/Jones agency office. They also will be available in the Merchant’s Tent and/or the festival information booth during the festival.
