Floyd was brought to the Whitley County Humane Shelter  by his owners who are moving. He is a friendly and playful labby boy.

According to his previous owners, he is good with kids and other dogs, and he is already neutered. Floyd is approximately 6-years-old, but is still a pup at heart. This dog qualifies for our “Seniors for Seniors” special. If you are 60-years-old, or older, you may adopt this pet for half-price.

Please call the shelter for more details at 260-244-6664.

Half-price Cat Sale extended until Christmas 2009

Thanks to the generosity of two of our wonderful volunteers, who are underwriting the difference, the Humane Shelter and Adoption Center of Whitley County is holding a Half-price Cat Sale from now ’til Christmas 2009.

During that time, prospective pet owners may take home one or more of many adorable kitties for half of the normal adoption fee. The refundable spay-neuter deposit still applies. This means that if owners have their own carrier and adopt a spayed or neutered cat, they may take their new pet home for only $32.50!

The shelter has many wonderful cats to choose from – cats of all ages and colors, some already spayed or neutered. All of them are looking for good homes with someone to love.

The price of our cats during this sale (October 1 – December 24, 2009) is:

  • Adoption fee: $32.50
  • Refundable spay/neuter deposit*: $15.00
  • Carrier fee**: $10.00
  • Total: $57.50

*This fee is waived if the cat is already spayed or neutered, or refunded to you when you show proof that you have had the cat spayed and neutered.

**This fee is waived if you bring in an carrier to transport your cat/kitten.
