The Busco Track program will be holding its second annual youth track camp. Coach Dock, members of his staff, and athletes from the men’s and women’s track teams will provide instruction and demonstrations on field events and running events.

Fourteen years ago, Churubusco High School began hosting a men’s track invitational. The Eagles spent the first 11 years of the invite’s existence hosting, but not winning. That all changed in 2008, when the team won its own invitational for the first time in program history. The last 2 years have been just as lucrative for the Busco track program. On Saturday, the Eagles defeated 10 other teams to win their 3rd straight Busco Invite title.

It’s that time of year again. The ground has thawed. The mix of sun, rain, wind and hail means that it is April in Indiana. For the Busco Track Program, April means invites. The men’s and women’s track teams will each be hosting an invitational this month.

Although the Busco Men’s and Women’s Track teams already have three meets under their belts…the real season is just beginning. On Tuesday April 13th, the NECC season begins as the men and women travel to Emma to face the Westview Warriors. The teams will then host Lakeland and West Noble in an NECC three-way meet on Thursday April 15th.

Any student entering grades 4-8 this fall is eligible to sign up for the Busco Track Youth Camp, which will be held June 15-17 at the Churubusco track.

The Busco men and women track teams finished up the NECC regular season with victories over Fremont and Hamilton Tuesday.
