Alexis Bankson was selected to the ICGSA Indiana Volleyball 1A/2A North All-Star team, and she and Danielle Hartmann also were named to the IHSAA All-Conference team.

The CHS volleyball team defeated Eastside in conference pool play, then went on to place fifth by beating Westview in the crossover game.

The Busco volleyball team came out on top in the first round of NECC sectional play against West Noble in a home match Thursday night.

The Whitko Wildcats defeated the Busco Eagles in three of five sets during home volleyball action Thursday, Sept. 24.

It was a clear win for the Churubusco Eagles as they took on Hamilton on Hamilton’s turf in volleyball action Sept. 22, 2009.

The Churubusco High School volleyball team took a double hit from Prairie Heights Thursday, Sept. 10 with losses at the varsity and JV levels, but came back strong on Tuesday, Sept. 15, to conquer Lakeland Christian, 25-11, 25-16, 25-12.

Churubusco and Central Noble locked up in a thrilling 5-set match with the Cougars outlasting the Eagles at Central Noble on Sept. 8.

The Churubusco High School Eagles were extended to four sets, but put away the Eastside Blazers in a home match Sept. 3.

The CHS volleyball team dropped two matches to Adams Central and Columbia City Aug. 31.

The Churubusco High School volleyball team beat Whitko 25-13, 25-19, 25-23 on Tuesday, Aug. 25, and were fired up enough to triumph over Bluffton, 25-20, 25-17, 25-27, 25-15 two days later.

A 4 on 4 Sand Volleyball Tournament will be held Saturday, September 5, at the Churubusco Community Park sand court. The event will begin at 9 a.m.and proceeds will support the Churubusco eighth grade volleyball team.

The Churubusco High School volleyball team prevailed over Fremont Thursday in NECC Sectional tourney action, beating them 25-16, 25-8 and 25-13.
Alexis Bankson had a tremendous showing with 22 assists, 5 aces and 6 digs.  Defensive specialist Danielle Hartmann came through with 16 digs, while sophomores Ashlie Shelton and Brianne Burkhart had four digs each.

The NECC volleyball tourney championship eluded the Busco girls this year, but they still acquitted themselves quite well, going 2-2 against conference foes.
In the first match, Busco outlasted West Noble 25-16, 23-25 and 15-8.
Alexis Bankson was outstanding with 29 assists, 8 service aces, 7 digs and even threw in 2 kills for good measure.
