CHURUBUSCO, Ind. – The weather was gorgeous, two TinCaps players were signing autographs and the kids’ spirits were high at the opening day of the Churubusco Youth League, held Saturday at the Churubusco Community Park.
Besides the autograph session with players Daniel Robertson of Southern California and Anthony Bass of Michigan, CYL
team members enjoyed a barbecue, cotton candy and had their team and individual photos taken.
Winners of the candle selling contest for the Churubusco Youth League also were recognized Saturday at CYL Opening Day in the park. They included Isaiah Pippenger, first place, who won a $100 gift certificate; Kate Cooper, second place, a $50 certificate; and Heide Zeigler, third place , a $25 certificate.
