Four churches join for Singpereation

Collins United Methodist Church held a bake sale at the front gate of the football game to raise money for its mission trips.

COLLINS, Ind. — (Sept. 15, 2009) The congregations of Collins, Etna, St. Matthews and West Point Trinity United Methodists invite the community to join them for an old-fashioned “Singpereation” at the Collins Church Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009 at 6 p.m.

There will be plenty of music and fellowship,  as well as cookies and other refreshments.

Gospel Fest 2 this Sunday at Collins United Methodist Church

belfryCOLLINS, Ind. – Gospel Fest 2 will be held at Collins United Methodist Church Sunday, Aug. 2.

A free picnic and games at 5 p.m. will kick off the concert of  the “Blue River Boys,” who will begin singing at 6 p.m. Church members will serve hot dogs, chips and other typical picnic food. Participants may want to bring their own lawn chairs.clown3

Games will include corn hole, water balloon toss, and some brain teasers.

The event is free – and will be held rain or shine. If rain, it will be moved inside the church – if shine it will be held in the outide pavilion next to the church.

VBS: Collins Church offers ‘Five Day Club’ for area kids

2-kids-campCOLLINS, Ind. – Collins United Methodist Church is hosting a “Five Day Club” beginning Monday, June 15 and ending Friday, June 19.

“This is a great time for children from 5 – 12 years old to come to the Collins Park and have a great time,” Rev. Larry Schmoekel. ” There will be singing, crafts, snacks, Bible stories – the whole deal!”

The Club will be held daily from 10:30-11:50 p.m.

The Five Day Club is sponsored by Lakeland Child Evangelism in cooperation with Collins UMC.
