Census employment opportunities workshop is Saturday in Churubusco

censuslogoCHURUBUSCO, Ind. (Jan. 2010) – Anyone interested in working for the 2010 U.S. Census should attend an employment meeting this Saturday, Jan. 23, at 1 p.m. at the Mountaintop Coffee House and Restaurant, 209 S. Main St., Churubusco.

The U.S. Census Bureau is seeking self-motivated, energetic, and enthusiastic persons to join 2010 Census efforts. For salary information, qualification requirements, available positions and a sample test click here.

Maxim Medical Expanding – Bringing jobs to Churubusco in 2012

CHURUBUSCO, Ind. – Maxim Medical Services Inc., a medical equipment installation and repair firm, announced today that it will expand its operations in Churubusco, creating 51 new jobs by 2012.

The company, which installs, services and resells surgical lighting and imaging equipment, will invest more than $1.6 million to expand its distribution operations and establish a light manufacturing center in an existing 50,000 square-foot facility in Churubusco.

The building to be occupied by Maxim Medical Services was the former site of CUNO. It is located south of Churubusco on U.S. 33.

The larger facility will enable Maxim Medical Services to realize its projected annual revenue of $20 million by fourth quarter 2012.

“Maxim is experiencing incredible growth and we’re happy they have chosen to expand in northeast Indiana,” said Governor Mitch Daniels. “It’s always nice to announce new jobs, but it takes on special importance when jobs are created in a small community like Churubusco.”

The medical equipment installer and repair company will invest more than $1.6 million to establish a light manufacturing center in an existing facility in Churubusco, about 16 miles northwest of Fort Wayne. Maxim says the larger space will help it reach projected annual revenue of $20 million by the fourth quarter of 2012.
