CHURUBUSCO - Although many towns and cities have been in the news lately after canceling their annual fireworks displays due to budgeting concerns, it appears the show will go on in northeast Indiana. The area around Churubusco will offer families several opportunities to see a fireworks show, or two

Blue Lake - The Blue Lake Association is joining with the Churubusco merchants to offer fireworks Saturday night, July 5, at 9 p.m.

Timmy’s Nook at Shriner’s Lake - owned by the Holmes family of Churubusco - will offer live entertainment during the Tri-Lakes fireworks display Friday, July 4, at 9 p.m. The featured band is The Martin Brothers Blues Band, which is featured on this Web site in an article and video.

Fort Wayne’s fireworks will be held Friday, July 4.

Columbia City’s fireworks will be held at 10 p.m. Saturday at Morsche’s Park. The new splash pad in the park will make its debut and open at 6 p.m. An inflatable obstacle course will be available in the afternoon for the kids’ entertainment, as well.

Other area fireworks this weekend include Albion, Garrett and Auburn.
