CHURUBUSCO, Ind. – There were an abundance of costumes on the streets of Churubusco this past weekend – each one more creative than the next.

Churubusco Elementary School pumpkin contest:

Busco Elementary students competed for prizes in a pumpkin decorating contest held the week before Halloween.

First place winner was the team of Elayna and Breeyn Fulkerson for their Busco Eagle pumpkin. Second place went to Tom Wiggs and third place went to Dalton Blessing.

Creativity was evident in the pumpkin renditions of Batman, a porcupine with toothpick quills, a mama pumpkin with twin babies, a hippie, a soldier, a scarecrow, a princess, a mummy and assorted ghouls.

Churubusco Elementary School PTO Safe Trick or Treat:

The PTO once again hosted its annual Safe Trick or Trunk event at Churubusco Elementary School. The line was long, but moved fast and in no time at all, hundreds of little ghosts, witches, princesses and goblins had filled their bags with lots of goodies.
