WHITLEY COUNTY, Ind (Dec. 2, 2009) — Residents are invited to help Santa and Whitley County Toys For Tots fill the sheriff’s cruiser on Saturday, Dec. 5 from 6-8 p.m. on the north side of the courthouse square.
“We had horrible weather last year, but still had a great turn out and the community bundled up and came together to fill the cruiser,” said Roxy Hagans of the Toys for Tots program.
“We are asking for the community to pull together again and brave the cold weather to warm a child’s heart with a gift on Christmas,” added Hagans.
New, unwrapped toys and games would be appreciated and will be provided to children in need this holiday season – children who may otherwise not receive gifts this year.
